The World of Valus
Three great lands rise from the encircling sea. To the west, the world is unknown — an expanse that wraps around to the eastern shores of Valen and Valon.
Valin
The great central continent, shaped like a tiger fang. Unbroken high mountain ranges crown its flat top; arid golden sands taper to the southern tip.
Valen
The lush northeastern island. Home to the Verdant Reach and the Silvergrove starting region, where the Valen elves live among the trees.
Valon
The rugged southeastern island — a rocky volcanic landscape of black crags and ember-lit valleys. Home of all the dragons and dragon-like creatures of Valus. At the island's center towers Valon's Peak, a colossal volcanic mountain.
The Hold
A fortress raised on Valin's southeastern fang — the closest land to Valon. Home of the Dragon Warriors, humans who have mastered fighting dragons with complex steampunk-like machines and armor of dragon-resistant materials.
Northport
A large multi-cultural trading city on Valin's northeastern fang — the closest land to Valen. Ruled by the Barons, the five richest people in the city, whose houses command its docks, markets, and spice routes.
Mines of Malady
Echoing the gnomes' stature (~4-5 ft) but broader and far stronger, the Dwarves once called the mines home — a race resistant to both heat and cold — before the great halls were sealed behind two massive metal doors under meters of solid ice. No one knows what happened to the dwarves.
Silvergrove & the Valen
In the Verdant Reach on Valen lies Silvergrove — home of the Valen, elves who live in the trees of the grove, raising their villages high among the canopy.
Lumenwood
The unexplored neighbor of Silvergrove. It once held the ancient temples of the original elves who explored this land — temples long lost to coastal flooding. Today, reports of danger abound.
Gearspring
In a small, isolated corner of Valen, a live volcano and a geyser-riven landscape split the rock. Cut off from the rest of the island, Gearspring is reachable only through a single mountain pass. Home of the Gnomes — human-like beings of 4-5 feet, resistant to heat, whose workshops ring the geyser field.
The Unknown West
To the west of Valin the world is unknown — an unexplored expanse that wraps around to the eastern shores of Valen and Valon.
